The first UK fashion store from the well-known tattoo artist Horiyoshi III opened on Monday 10 October in Connaught Village, London. Adding yet another exclusive name to Hyde Park's retail quarter.

Horiyoshi III is to the art of tattooing what Karl Lagerfeld is to couture: a living legend. His new store on fashionable Connaught Street showcases his unique clothing and accessory designs for men and women including his iconic scarves.

The artist-turned-designer has collaborated with entrepeneur Steve Suk to transform his artistry into a line of luxury leisurewear, having released his first collection to the public in March 2009. Since then he has sold to the most exclusive stores worldwide, and gained a high profile celebrity following from actress Tilda Swinton.

Nick Fowles of the Church Commissioners at Connaught Village comments: "We are delighted to welcome Horiyoshi III to Connaught Street. There is already a chic collection of independent boutiques, cafes and restaurants at the Village so the opening of this iconic store will give shoppers even more reason to enjoy spending time in this quintessential setting!"

Dawn Green, Commercial Director of Horiyoshi III said: "Connaught Village is a charming setting for us to open our doors to. We are surrounded by beautiful boutiques and vintage stores so we feel right at home. Horiyoshi III has developed a real cult following in the UK so we are looking forward to meeting our new clientele."
