Introducing Marion Ayonote
Marion Ayonote has just opened her first independent boutique in Connaught Village and we are eager to find out more about what has influenced the designer and how she has seen her own brand evolve and take shape.
Hailed as "an accessory lover's dream label" by British Vogue, Marion has become highly regarded as a unique designer. The chic boutique stocks couture women's collections, ready to wear, clutch bags and, for the first time, a menswear collection, all handmade in England and Italy. Her use of exotic materials, eye-catching shapes, metallics and the perfect balance of classical meets innovation, qualifies her for such a prestigious title.
Inspired by her travels and international education, Marion has garnered her a loyal following; this multi-cultural influence appeals to shoppers all over the world and her bold designs are loved by the likes of Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Ashanti and Toni Braxton. The label is now stocked across the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Russia and many exclusive European boutiques and department stores.
We had a conversation with the designer to find out more about her origins, inspirations and what really makes her tick, both on and off-duty.
